In short: your training sessions stay on your Apple Watch and iPhone. There is no account and no APNEA Watch server, and we never see your records.
1. Controller
The controller for the website and for any personal data we process is xbranch. Privacy questions and requests: support@apnea.watch.
2. The app
What the app stores
Each session — date, program, duration, marks, contractions, rounds and, if you enable them, depth, water temperature, heart rate and the latest blood-oxygen (SpO₂) value from Apple Health — is saved as a file in the app on your Apple Watch and iPhone. Heart rate, SpO₂ and depth can say something about your health, so the app only reads them after you allow it in Apple’s permission dialogs, and each one can be switched off in Settings.
Sync between your devices
Your watch and iPhone exchange sessions and deletions directly over Apple’s Watch Connectivity when they are near each other. Nothing is sent to us or to any other server operated for APNEA Watch.
What we do not do
The app has no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs and makes no network requests to us. We do not sell, share or use your data for marketing, profiling or AI training.
Apple services
Apple Health, Watch Connectivity, device backups (for example iCloud Backup) and App Store distribution are provided by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy and your device settings.
Your control
Delete a session in History and it is deleted on both devices. Removing the app removes its data from that device; copies may remain in your device backups. You can withdraw Health access at any time in the Health or Settings app. Original Apple Health data stays in Apple Health.
Legal basis: the app processes data on your devices to provide the functions you use. Health-related readings are only processed with your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)), which you give and withdraw through the switches and Apple permissions.
3. The website
Hosting
apnea.watch is served by Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser, requested page and time to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. We use short-lived request logs (kept for up to 7 days) to fix errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare acts as our processor and may process data outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Analytics
If — and only if — you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used: pages viewed, referrer, device and browser type, approximate location (country/city) and interactions. Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses, and advertising features are switched off. Data is kept for 14 months. Google may process data in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time under ; after that no analytics data is collected and the analytics cookies are deleted.
Fonts and images are served from apnea.watch itself; the site embeds no third-party content. See the Cookie Policy for details.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed (at the latest two years after the conversation ends). Please do not send us training records or health information.
4. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to support@apnea.watch. Because your app records exist only on your own devices, you manage them directly in the app; we cannot see, export or delete them for you.
You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Slovenia the Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si) or the authority in your country.
5. Children
APNEA Watch is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Changes
We will update this policy when the app or website changes how data is handled. The date at the top shows the current version.
